City of Wine Civilisations

Doors scheduled to open in 2016!

The future City of Wine Civilisations aims to become a symbolic place of excellence and a real gateway into the Bordeaux wine-growing region. It will thus pursue an economic objective (supporting and promoting the chain), a tourism-related challenge (developing wine-related tourism) and a cultural aim.

The site chosen for the City of Wine Civilisations project is that of the ancient forges of the Major Sea Port of Bordeaux, on board the Garonne, in the dock basin district. In direct contract with the river, benefiting from exceptional accessibility (tramway, ring road, Bacalan Bastide bridge) and great visibility, the City of Wine Civilisations takes the shape of deliberately exceptional architecture.
